Home from Maui

My husband and I just returned from a week in Maui. My first time to Hawaii. It was wonderful. The best part was just hanging out on the beach, watching the waves, going in the water, and being in the sun. Because we barely had any summer here on the coast of Northern CA, this was our week of summer.

The first evening, we started the vacation with a beautiful sunset.

And the very next day we woke up to a full arch, double rainbow.



We had a studio with large glass sliding doors that opened onto a lanae (patio). This was the view from our 10th floor room.

Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and waking up, seeing the waves and the beach. What could be better than that?

We took a day trip around the island to the city of Hana. We saw lots and lots of beautiful waterfalls.



On another day, we took a submarine to see the underwater world.




All in all, we had a great trip. It's hard to come back to reality. Right now it is cold and raining. Was it all just a dream? It seems so far away now.
