My beautiful girl Smokey is still around and comes for her dinner every night.
When we first got Jack, our dog, she was scarce for a week. Of course, we also had a lot of company at the time. With so many people being in our yard, I'm sure that scared her away.
But after things all settled back to normal, I found that she had taken up residence in the yard next door.
Every night around 7:00pm, I call her to feed her and she comes over the fence. I talk with her and give her some love. But mostly she is hungry and I make sure she has something to eat for the day.
The weather is changing to fall here and once again I am faced with how to take care of her in the colder weather. I have some ideas but not a solid plan yet. I'll keep ruminating on this until I formulate my plan. Then I will move forward.
Isn't she beautiful?
We are glad she is still around. We wonder how we are going to take care of out two outside kitties, too!
ReplyDeleteShe looks Himalayan. If you want her inside and she can be picked up she would do well starting off in a room by herself for awhile. If you have winter temps (not sure where you are) and can't bring her in perhaps she can be trapped and taken to a shelter. She would have a good chance to find a good home with her looks. ReplyDeleteSmokey is exquisite!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is so pretty! You could build her a heated Hut; we have one for Henry and he stays in there when it's cold. Although we bet she'd like to come inside...
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely gorgeous! l love her eyes
